Room 10 has been working extremely hard in maths this term and have turned some of our learning into some fantastic art work.
Here are all of our names where we have measured the perimeter and area of each letter.
They really brighten up our room.
On Friday the 5th of May, we attended the Mini Marathon along with over 2000 other children. It was a brilliant day with the weather being perfect for us. We all really enjoyed completing the run and interacting with other schools.
We have been participating in Get NZ Writing where we write postcards to another classroom.
The Purpose of this task was to write a metaphor poem. The students wrote one about Mr Eddy and Room 10, then their individual poems. We really enjoyed learning about metaphors and can't wait to get our postcards from Hurupaka School.

roaring and smashing everything
in its way.

All of the school is looking up at us.
Room 10 is a geyser,
exploding with excitement
and reaching for the stars.
Room 10 is bacon and eggs,
always working together.
Room 10 is a tiara,
sparkly and shiny
This week we had the wonderful opportunity to participate in an hour session of Rhythm Interactive.
It was a fantastic time and the children were all engaged in an interactive drumming programme.
